Does display show "GOOD"?
YES: Go to Step 3
Set FCTN to Z-FH*

NO: See Unit Maintenance
YES: Go to Step 4
Set FCTN to OFF, wait 10
Does display now show

NO: See Unit Maintenance
"GOOD"?
set, then back to Z-FH
Does self-test result in display
YES: Go to Step 5
Run RT Self-Test

NO: See Unit Maintenance
showing "GOOD"?
Has message/noise cleared?**
YES: Problem is solved
Perform ICOM Fill and

Do not perform Steps 2 thru 5 unless the nature of your mission will permit you to be out of the
net for a short period.
* * Steps 2 thru 5 are the equivalent of "re-booting" your radio. In thatthe SINCGARS radio is
basically a computer, this procedure frequent/y works when other efforts to clear a strange
message or noise do not.
