The AN/FRC-162 is a microwave line of sight radio which utilizes

HAZARD CONTROLS (to reduce or eliminate risk)
Power Density Levels (PDL) ....
This system is not able to produce potentially hazardous PDLs in excess of the safety
standard.
Open/cracked waveguides .......
All open waveguides and feed horn outputs produce potentially hazardous PDLs in
excess of the safety standard. Exclude personnel to within 10 cm of any open
waveguide.
Other.................................
Consult the equipment Technical Manual for other operator and/or maintenance hazards.
