Indicates that transmitter is keyed.

SPKER/MODE

Switches the speaker on for plain text operation.

PT OFF

Switches the speaker off for plain text operation.

Switches the receiver/transmitter to the cipher text

mode of operation and turns the speaker off for

cipher text operation.

BEACON/NORM

(2-position toggle switch)

BEACON

When in BEACON position, causes transmitter to

continuously output a carrier modulated with a

weeper ton

NORM

When in NORM position, allows voice to be

modulated onto the transmit carrier.

SQ (potentiometer)

Adjusts receiver squelch threshold sensitivity.

Edge-Light (2)

Illuminates front panel when READ pushbutton is

(screw-in lamp and holder)

pressed.
