Section VII. INTEGRATED RACK INSTALLATION

NOTE

It is necessary to drill all holes for mounting MTS to tunnel before

installing integrated rack.

Perform steps 7-1 through 7-5 only when installing MTS.

Remove left-side tunnel insulation. (Refer to TM 9-2320-280-20.)

7-1. Drill out rivet from floor (4), enlarge hole (3) to 0.390-in. diameter, and install screw thread

insert (5) in floor (4).

NOTE

Ensure all holes are located on flat surface of tunnel ribs.

7-2. Using MTS mounting base bracket as template, locate, mark, and drill three 0.390-in. diameter

holes (2) in floor (4).

7-3. Using control box as template, locate, mark, and drill four 0.390-in. diameter holes (1) in floor (4).

7-4. Install seven screw thread inserts (5) in floor (4).

7-5. Install left-side tunnel insulation. (Refer to TM 9-2320-280-20.)
