NOTE
When attaching lower ball to MTS mounting bracket, leave left
rear hole open to accommodate future loop clamp and MTS
display wire.
14-6. Place spacer (17) in position between insert (3) and MTS mounting base bracket (18). Install MTS
mounting base bracket (18) on floor (4) with three lockwashers (12), washers (7), and capscrews (19).
14-7. Install PLGR mount (13) on MTS mounting base bracket (18) with lockwasher (12), capscrew (16),
washer (7), lockwasher (12), and capscrew (11).
14-8. Install PLGR bracket (9) on PLGR mount (13) with four screws (10), lockwashers (14), and plain-
assembled nuts (15).
14-9. Fabricate ground strap (21) from 6-in. length of braided wire and two terminal lugs.
NOTE
Ground strap will be installed on lower ball mount only at this
time. Other end of ground strap will be installed with MTS
display cables. (Refer to chapter 5, section XX.)
14-10. Install ground strap (21) and lower ball mount (22) on MTS mounting base bracket (18) with three
capscrews (6), six washers (7), and three locknuts (20). Leave hole (8) open for future loop clamps
and MTS display wire.
