SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The AN/TRC-24 is a transportable VHF/UHF-FM radio set

Frequency: 50 - 1875 MHz

Power: 10 20 W

which operates in six frequency bands. Various antennas are

used as required for the different frequency bands.

This system is able to produce potentially hazardous PDLs in excess of the safety

standard. Establish a Nonionizing Radiation Protection Program (IAW guidelines

provided in this TB) .

Exclude personnel to a distance of 6.3 m from the antenna. The height of the antenna

normally precludes the potential for personnel exposure to RFR.
