High RF power is present at the antenna tip when transmitting. Do not
key the transmitter when personnel are closer than 4 inches in the low
power mode, or 16 inches in the high power (20 W) mode. To do so may
result in personnel injury.
CAUTION
Make sure the power supply power cable is disconnected and the R/T PWR switch
is turned off before you replace the RIT unit, battery supply, fuses, or the charging
cable. Failure to do so may result in equipment damage.

Step 1 Turn off PWR switch and check front panel fuse.
If blown, replace fuse. If not, install known-good
batteries.
