If  display  shows  random  characters  and  does not  display  “-  -  -  -  -,  “  or  does  not  continue sequence, RT-1476  or  RT-1476A:  RT  is  bad RT-1477  or  RT-1477A:  RCU  is  bad If   display   shows   “-   -   -   -   -,”   but   then   be- comes  random  characters,  go  to  chart  3 (page   6-14), If  some  segments  do  not  light  during  “88888” display  or  some  segments  stay  on,  go  to chart   4   (page   6-15). If  display  reads  “FAIL8,” RT-1476  or  RT-1476A:  RT  is  bad RT-1477  or  RT-1477A:  RCU  is  bad If  display  reads  “FAIL1  ,”  repeat  test.  If  display still reads “ FAIL1, ” RT is bad.
