TM   11-5821-333-12 CONNECTIONS  FOR  RETRANSMIT  FUNCTION Two radio sets are used as a retransmit station. RT C is tuned to F1 and RT D is tuned to F2. When RT C receives a message, it keys RT D and provides the audio or data signal to RT D. RT D then transmits the message on F2. Frequencies F1 and F2 can be either single channel frequencies or frequency hopping hopsets. If both are single channel  frequencies,  then  they  should  be  at  least  10  MHz  apart.  If  both  are  hopsets,  they  should  be  different hopsets  or  the  same  hopset  with  different  net  IDs. NOTE When  your  radio  has  a  good  HUB  or  battery  box  installed, setting  the  FCTN  switch  to  OFF  causes  no  loss  of  memory. 1-20 1-24.  RETRANSMIT  OPERATION
