Set on work surface with front toward
you. See figure 14-9.
Use cross tip screwdriver. Remove and
inspect screw and flat washer securing
protective rubber cap (3) for J1 connector
(4) on the chassis. If damaged, obtain
replacement. Discard Iockwasher.
Remove and retain.
Use soldering kit, soldering aid, and
heat sink, Tag the pin location of all wires
soldered to rear of connector. Unsolder
each wire from the connector.
Use socket wrench and 1 1/16 inch socket.
Remove and inspect hex nut securing
J1 connector to chassis. If damaged,
obtain replacement. Discard Iockwasher.
Remove and retain.
