Remove and retain heat sink assembly
from power supply adapter chassis (1).
See figure 13-2.
Set upside down on work surface with
front toward you. See figure 13-6.
Use soldering kit, soldering aid, and heat
sink. Tag location of the diode leads
soldered to pins on the K1 relay (10).
Unsolder each lead from the relay.
Remove and retain the diode.
Use cross tip screwdriver. Remove and
inspect two screws and flat washers
securing the K1 relay (10) to the chassis.
If damaged, obtain replacement.
Discard Iockwashers.
Remove and discard defective relay.
Obtain replacement relay and two
Iockwashers.
Use cross tip screwdriver. Install and
tighten two retained screws, flat washers,
and replacement Iockwashers securing
the K1 relay (10) to the chassis.
Use soldering kit, soldering aid, heat
sink, and needle nose pliers. Install the
retained diode, solder leads to tagged
pins on relay (10), and remove the tags.
Install retained heat sink assembly on
power supply adapter chassis (1).
Refer to paragraph 14-17
for heat sink removal.
Position K1 relay with pins
for wires closest to CB1
circuit breaker.
Before and after soldering,
clean diode leads and relay
pins with alcohol and
cotton swabs. Ensure that
cathode lead is connected
to pin X1 on the relay.

for heat sink installation.
