14-28. REPLACEMENT OF CR3 OR CR4 DIODE.

Set on work surface with rear toward
you. See figure 14-4.
Use flat tip screwdriver. Fully loosen and
inspect for damage. If damaged,
obtain replacement.
Remove from chassis to allow access to CR3
or CR4 diode (4), and retain. See figure 14-5.
Use soldering kit, soldering aid, and
heat sink. Tag the location of all wires
on defective diode. Unsolder the wires
from the terminal post of the diode.
Use 1/4 inch wrench. Remove and retain
hex nut, terminal lug, flat washer, insulated
washer, and mounting pad securing the
diode to the angle bracket (11) on the
power supply adapter chassis.
Remove and discard the defective diode.
