Action
a. Set DMM to 200 W scale and check the
resistance between the following connector
pins:
P1 -A
and
P1 -B
and
P1-C
and
P1-D
and
P1-H
and
P1-K
and
P1-S
and
P1-U
and
P1-SHELL and
P1-A
and
P2-A
and
P2-A
P2-B
P2-C
P2-D
P2-H
P2-K
P2-S
P2-U
P2-SHELL
P1-SHELL
P2-SHELL
b. Set DMM to 20 k W scale and check the
resistance between the following connector
pins: NOTE: Observe polarity.
(+) lead
(-) lead
P2-C
P1-A
c. Operational check is complete.
Response
a. All DMM readings are less than 1 W.
If not, cable is bad.
b. DMM reading changes from greater than
0.5 k W to open within 20 seconds.
If not, cable is bad.
NOTE:
If DMM reading does not change
and is open, apply a short from
P1-A to P2-C and repeat step b.
