(Sheet  2  of  3) 1.   CLEAN ANTENNA ELEMENT CONTACTS. 2.   CLEAN ANTENNA GROUND STRAPS. 3.   CLEAN RUST FROM ANTENNA MOUNTING HARDWARE. 4.   REMEASURE FORWARD/REVERSE POWER*. REPLACED ANTENNA ELEMENTS ARE BAD. NO YES RVS PWR HIGH ? NO YES RVS PWR HIGH ? REPLACE ANTENNA BASE. 1.   REPLACE ANTENNA ELEMENTS. 2.   REMEASURE FORWARD/REVERSE POWER*. * NOTE, RVS PWR QUICK CHECK: 1.   Measure FWD PWR (e.g., 4.6 W). 2.   Measure RVS PWR (e.g., 1.2 W). 3.   Divide FWD PWR by RVS PWR (e.g., 4.6/1.2). 4.   If result is 3.0* or MORE, RVS PWR is normal. 5.   If result is LESS THAN 3.0*, RVS PWR is high, troubleshoot. 6.   * If radio is used for data transmission, a result of  4.0 or more is desired. 2 SH 2 RADIO SYSTEM IS NOW OPERATIONAL. 1 SH 2 2 SH 2
