Table 1-2. Capabilities and Limitations (Sheet 2 of 6)
CHARACTERISTIC
SPECIFICATION
GENERAL (Cont)
Channel spacing
25 kHz.
NOTE
The radio set is capable of tuning to 1 of 7000 frequency channels spaced at 25-
kHz intervals. However, the receiver selectivity is determined by the crystal filter
(A4FL1) installed in the 10.7-MHz if circuit of receiver rf module A3. The bandwidth
of the filter supplied with the radio set is 36 kHz (6-dB resonant response). This
makes the radio set compatible with 50-kHz channel spacing. To make the radio
set compatible with 25-kHz channel spacing, the filter must be replaced with a 20-
replaced with a 60-kHz bandwidth filter (100-kHz channel spacing).
0.0005% both transmit and receive.
Frequency stability
0.0005% both transmit and receive.
Frequency accuracy
seconds maximum after selection of last digit.
Tuning time 10
2 minutes.
Warm-up time
Duty cycle
90% with 9 minutes (90%, 1-kHz modulation) transmit and 1 minute receive.
Continuous.
Receiver
50-ohm, N-type connector.
Antenna input
RECEIVER
Sensitivity
3 microvolts (30% modulation, 1000 Hz) applied at the antenna will produce an
audio output of 100 milliwatts into 600 ohms with a 10-dB (minimum) signal-plus-
noise to noise ratio.
Selectivity
Receiver selectivity is determined by the crystal filter (A4FL1) installed in the 10.7-
MHz if amplifier. Refer to note in general specifications of this table.
