CAUTION
Use caution to avoid cutting notch in hood too large. If cutout
notch is too large, the hood cable guide cannot be correctly
installed.
Remove and retain plug for reinstallation if cutting of hood will
damage plug.
NOTE
Use scrap pieces of 2x4 boards to prop open hood.
18-7. Locate, mark, and cut area (10) on hood (1).
18-8. Reinstall two hood brackets (6) and bracket (9) on top side of hood (1) with six bolts (3),
twelve washers (4), and six nuts (7).
18-9. Reinstall retaining strip (2) with three rivets (8).
NOTE
File hood and hood cable guide as required to ensure a snug fit.
18-10. Ensure hood cable guide (11) fits securely in cut area (10). Remove cable guide (11).
NOTE
Heat lamp or heat gun may be used to speed curing time for
adhesive.
18-11. Apply thin coat of adhesive to hood cable guide (11) and matching area on hood (1), and install
cable guide (11) on hood (1).
