B-7. USE WHEN PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT MUST BE USED

WARNING

Personal protective equipment (PPE), such as face shields, splash goggles and solvent

resistant gloves, must be used if there is a potential for exposure when using chemical.

If PPE is recommended, coordinating is required with the supporting Safety

Office/Officer, Industrial Hygienist or preventive Medicine Office/Officer. Appropriate

PPE is listed on the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for the chemical. All PPE must

meet applicable ANSI. ASTM or NIOSH/MSHA requirements, or equivalent. Eye

protection must meet the requirements of ANSIZ87.1 For hand protection, use

disposable chemical/solvent resistant gloves.
