SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

The AN/GRA-39 provides a remote radio contact through a wire to various radios in the

AN/VRC and AN/PRC radio set series.

By itself, this system is not subject to radiation protection control. When connected to

an RT-524/VRC Amplifier, this system is able to produce potentially hazardous PDLs in

excess of the safety standard.

When connected to an RT-524/VRC Amplifier, exclude personnel to a distance of 1 m

from the antenna.

RF shock/burn .....................

Observe standard RF shock precautions. Do not touch the antenna when energized.
