a. Align the 700-1,000-mc rf tuner while

the tuning unit is operating outside the main

unit. Use the test harness (fig. 46) with the

f r o n t - p a n e l controls set to the positions

l i s t e d in para 88c, except for setting the

F R E Q U E N C Y RANGE-MC switch to the

7 0 0 - 1 , 0 0 0 - m c position,

b. The 700-1,000-mc rf tuner is mounted

on the right side of tuning unit 4. To re-

m o v e the two covers from this rf tuner,

proceed as follows:

(1) R e m o v e t h e e i g h t s c r e w s a n d

washers that secure the side cover.
