TM 11-5820-890-30-5 14-21. REPLACEMENT OF J3 OR J4 CONNECTOR.  Continued ITEM ACTION REMARKS INSTALLATION h. Connector  (4)  or  (8) and  Iockwasher i. O-ring j.                      Hex  nut  and Iockwasher k. Connector  (4)  or  (8) wires l. Rear  access  cover  (2) m.                    12  captive screws  (3) n. Protective  cap  (5) Obtain  replacement  connector  and Iockwasher. Apply  silicone  compound  to  o-ring on   replacement   connector. Use  7/8  inch  socket  wrench. Install  and  hand  tighten  retained hex  nut  and  replacement  Iockwasher securing  the  connector  to  the  access cover.  Use  torque  wrench  and  7/8  inch socket.  Torque  to  60  in-lb. Use  soldering  kit,  soldering  aid,  and Before  and  after  soldering, heat  sink.  Solder  tagged  wires  to clean  wires  and  connector correct  connector  pins,  and  remove pins  with  alcohol  and wire  tags. cotton  swabs. Position  retained  rear  access  cover  on the  power  supply  adapter  chassis. Use  flat  tip  screwdriver.  Install  and  hand tighten  the  12  captive  screws  securing the  rear  access  cover  to  the  power  supply adapter  chassis.  Use  torque  screwdriver. Torque  to  9  in-lb. Install  the  protective  cap  on  the connector. 14-34
