Tools: Flat  tip  screwdriver Torque   screwdriver Soldering  kit Expendable  Supplies: Cotton  swabs Solder Alcohol References: Paragraph  4-19  for  removal  and  installation  of  audio  amplifier  CCA. ITEM ACTION REMARKS REMOVAL a.  Mounting  adapter b.   Access   cover   (2) c.   Surge   arrestor INSTALLATION d.   Surge   arrestor or  diode or  diode e. Access  cover  (2) Set  on  work  surface  with  left  side toward  you. Remove. Using  soldering  kit,  desolder  and  discard defective  diode  or  surge  arrestor. Position  replacement  surge  arrestor  or diode  to  terminal solder  kit,  solder arrestor  or  diode Install. and  binding  post.  Using replacement   surge in  place. See  figure  4-5.  Refer  to paragraph  4-19  for  access cover   removal   procedures. These  were  removed  in step  c. Before  and  after  soldering, clean  wires  and  leads  with alcohol  and  cotton  swabs. See  figure  4-5.  This  was removed  in  step  b. Refer  to  paragraph  4-19  for access  cover  installation procedures. 4-121
