TM 11-5820-890-30-5 4-9. OPERATIONAL  CHECK.  Continued Step 1a. INPUT POWER CHECK FOR AM-7239/VRC. Action Response a. Set DMM on 2 k  W range. a.  If  a  short  is  present,  diode  5A3CR6  is  bad. Disconnect  W5P2  from  5A3P1. This  diode  is  connected  between  5A3K1-X2 Use  DMM  with  test  leads  to  check  for and  5A3K1-X1. short  from  5A3P1-E  to  5A3P1-A  (GND). b.  Connect  equipment  as  shown  in  figure  4-2. b.  No  response. c.  Set  DMM  to  read  25  to  29  V  dc. c.  No  response. d.  Set  28  V:  ON. d.  Lamp  DS1  lights.  If  not,  go  to  chart  1.  If Set   CB1:   ON. CB1  trips  to  OFF,  go  to  chart  2.  The  DMM Read  DMM. reading  is  0  V  dc.  If  a  voltage  is  present, relay  5A3K1  is  bad, CAUTION See  removal  and  replacement  procedures for  two  versions  of  relay  K1. e.  Use  a  jumper  cable  to  connect  TEST e.  CB1  stays  ON.  If  CB1  trips  to  OFF,  go  to POINT 5 to TEST POINT 4. Read DMM. chart  3.  The  DMM  reading  is  25  to  29  V dc.  If  not,  go  to  chart  4. Step 1 b. INPUT POWER CHECK FOR AM-7239B/VRC. Action Response a.  Set  S1:  RMT. a.  No  response. b. Set DMM on 2 k  W range. b.  If  a  short  is  present,  diode  5A3CR6  is  bad. Disconnect  W5P2  from  5A3P1. This  diode  is  connected  between  5A3K1-X2 Use  DMM  with  test  leads  to  check  for and  5A3K1-X1. short  from  5A3P1-E  to  5A3P1-A  (GND). c.  Connect  equipment  as  shown  in  figure  4-2. c.  No  response. d.  Set  DMM  to  read  25  to  29  V  dc. d.  No  response. e.  Set  28  V:  ON. e.  CB1  stays  ON.  If  CB1  trips  to  OFF,  go  to Set   CB1:   ON. chart  5.  Lamp  DS1  lights.  If  not,  go  to chart  6. f.  Read  DMM. f.  DMM  reading  is  25  to  29  V  dc.  If  not, connector  5A3P1  is  bad. g.  Set  CB1:  OFF. g.  Lamp  DS1  turns  off.  If  not,  go  to  chart  7. Set   S1:   RMT. Set  CB1:  ON. h.  Use  a  jumper  cable  to  connect  TEST h.  DMM  reading  is  25  to  29  V  dc.  If  not,  the POINT 5 to TEST POINT 4. Read DMM. wire  from  5A3P1-E  to  5A3S1-2,  or  connec- tor  5A3P1,  is  bad. 4-7
