Section XX. MTS MOUNT AND PLGR BRACKET INSTALLATION
NOTE
Ensure all holes have been drilled and inserts installed. (Refer to
When attaching lower ball to MTS mounting bracket, leave left
rear hole open to accommodate future loop clamp and MTS
display wire.
20-1. Place spacer (12) in position between insert (13) and MTS mounting base bracket (15). Attach MTS
mounting base bracket (15) to floor (14) with three lockwashers (7), washers (2), and capscrews (16).
20-2. Attach PLGR bracket (8) to MTS mounting base bracket (15) with lockwasher (7), capscrew (11),
washer (2), lockwasher (7), and capscrew (6).
20-3. Attach PLGR mount (4) to PLGR bracket (8) with four screws (5), lockwashers (9), and nuts (10).
20-4. Fabricate ground strap (18) from 6-in. length of braided wire and two terminal lugs.
NOTE
Ground strap will be installed on lower ball mount only at this
time. Other end of ground strap will be installed with MTS
display cables. (Refer to chapter 5, section XXVI.)
20-5. Attach ground strap (18) and lower ball mount (19) with three capscrews (1), six washers (2), and
three locknuts (17). Leave hole (3) open for future loop clamps and MTS display wire.
