SYSTEM PARAMETERS
SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The AN/TRC-24 is a transportable VHF/UHF-FM radio set
Frequency: 50 - 1875 MHz
Power: 10 20 W
which operates in six frequency bands. Various antennas are
used as required for the different frequency bands.
SYSTEM HAZARDS
HAZARD CONTROLS (to reduce or eliminate risk)
Power Density Levels (PDL) ....
This system is able to produce potentially hazardous PDLs in excess of the safety
standard.  Establish a Nonionizing Radiation Protection Program (IAW guidelines
provided in this TB) .
Hazard distance from antenna ....
Exclude personnel to a distance of 6.3 m from the antenna. The height of the antenna
normally precludes the potential for personnel exposure to RFR.

Specify use of dummy loads for maintenance operations

The AN/TRC-29 is a transportable, tactical microwave AM-FM
Frequency: 1.7 2.4 GHz
Power: 10 W PEP
radio set. The set utilizes a 2.44 m diameter parabolic dish
antenna.

standard and is not subject to RFR control.
